The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft AI Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in configuring Microsoft Copilot, developing Power Platform applications, and optimizing our SharePoint architecture to serve as a robust data foundation for AI integration. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in the Microsoft product ecosystem, matching deep technical capability with a highly collaborative, approachable personality. You will serve as a bridge between complex Microsoft AI capabilities and our business needs, translating technical architectures into accessible solutions for non-technical stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy Power Platform applications and sophisticated Power Automate workflows to streamline business operations.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Copilot solutions, managing external connectors and customizing Copilot Studio implementations.
• Structure, organize, and optimize SharePoint environments to ensure data is properly indexed and primed for AI and Copilot readiness.
• Manage API integrations and data connectors across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with non-technical colleagues to gather requirements, explain AI functionalities, and ensure solutions solve practical business challenges.
• Enforce security and governance protocols across all developed applications and AI deployments

Required Qualifications• 3–5 years of experience in software development or enterprise automation, with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience specifically focused on Microsoft AI technologies.

• Proven, practical experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform (with a strong emphasis on Power Automate), and SharePoint structuring.
• Working knowledge of Azure AI Search and Azure AI Foundry (Azure OpenAI), including a foundational understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
• Solid scripting abilities in Python (or a similar language) and strong proficiency in SQL.
• Fundamental understanding of Microsoft 365 security practices, including Entra ID, permission management, and data sensitivity labeling.
• Highly fluent and clear communication skills in English (both written and spoken), with a demonstrated ability to articulate technical concepts seamlessly to non-technical team members.

Good to Have Skills & Qualifications• Experience rolling out Copilot or similar AI assistants to large user groups, including developing champion networks, conducting training sessions, and measuring user adoption metrics.

• Microsoft certifications, such as AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer), PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant), or PL-400 (Power Platform Developer).
• Familiarity with Semantic Kernel, multi-agent orchestration, or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Background working in the retail or e-commerce sectors.
