About

the role

As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for the quality and reliability of the organisation’s financial administration and reporting.

You will manage the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and closely monitor project administrations and calculations. You will also prepare financial reports in line with internal and external guidelines and oversee internal controls and financial processes.

In this role, you act as a key point of contact for external auditors, banks and other stakeholders. You will prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections and advise management on both financial and project-related matters.

Your responsibilities include

• Managing monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
• Monitoring project administrations and project calculations
• Preparing financial reports in line with internal and external guidelines
• Monitoring internal controls and financial processes
• Acting as the main contact for external auditors, banks and other stakeholders
• Preparing and analysing budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
• Optimising financial processes and systems
• Advising management on financial and project-related matters

What are we

looking for

We are looking for an experienced and accurate finance professional who understands the dynamics of project-driven organisations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, Controlling or a related field
• At least 4–7 years of relevant work experience
• Preferably experience within construction, real estate or another project-driven organisation
• Thorough knowledge of Dutch GAAP (RJ)
• Affinity with project accounting is preferred
• Experience managing or supervising a finance team is a plus
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
• Accurate, results-oriented and able to work independently
• Good command of both Dutch and English
