About this opportunity

As a Critical Facilities Technician in the Control Room you join the High Priority Team on the ASML campus, one of Europe’s most advanced high-tech hubs. The team monitors, troubleshoots and maintains the essential building systems across ASML’s high-tech environment, from server rooms and cleanrooms to HVAC and electrical infrastructure. These installations directly affect the productivity and well-being of thousands of ASML employees.

Your employer is a leading Dutch construction and engineering company that has partnered with ASML since 2021. The focus is on maintenance and troubleshooting of existing installations in industrial utility environments, not on new construction. The position runs in a 5-shift schedule, keeping the facility operational 24/7.

Your daily responsibilities

  • Monitoring and resolving technical issues via the Building Management System
  • Applying Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for safe maintenance work
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance and reporting deviations
  • Providing technical assistance during incidents as part of the emergency response team (BHV)
  • Working on transformer stations, switch cabinets and high-voltage equipment
  • Working a 5-shift pattern: 2 early shifts, 2 late shifts and 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off

What you bring

  • A background in industrial mechanical or electrical engineering, or technical service and maintenance in production or utility settings
  • Experience as a critical facilities technician, engineer or mechanic for large clients such as data centers, process technology, pharmaceutical or chemical companies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
  • Preferably experience with mechanical systems, high-voltage systems and switchgear
  • Experience with standby or on-call duties is an advantage
  • You stay calm in critical situations and make quick, effective decisions
  • Curious and proactive, with a drive to master complex technical installations

What you can expect

  • Salary between €4,471 and €5,128 gross per month, including a fixed 31.5% shift allowance and excluding holiday allowance
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • Extensive onboarding with a welcome package, 2 introduction days and a personal buddy
  • Access to an in-house academy and hands-on training programs
  • Company laptop and smartphone
  • A personal electric van for business use
  • You may qualify for the Dutch 30% ruling
