ESG Data Engineer
Permanent | Geneva, Switzerland | Start: November French speaking mandatory
We are looking for a bright, ambitious and curious Data Engineer to join a leading private banking environment in Geneva. This is a permanent opportunity suited to someone with 2-3 years' experience within banking or asset management, who combines strong technical aptitude with excellent communication skills.
Candidates should ideally already be based in Switzerland and have exposure to the Swiss private banking or wealth management sector.
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience within banking, private banking, asset management or wealth management
- Fluent French and English
- Strong interest in data, technology and investment-related topics
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of Swiss banking environments highly desirable
- ESG or sustainable investment exposure would be beneficial but is not essential
The Role
You will help build and enhance the bank's ESG and sustainability data platform, supporting investment teams, risk management and regulatory reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities include
- Building and maintaining data pipelines for ESG and investment data
- Integrating data from multiple external providers
- Reconciling datasets and ensuring data consistency across sources
- Supporting data quality, governance and traceability initiatives
- Developing data models across portfolios, securities, issuers and counterparties
- Delivering data solutions for sustainable investment and regulatory reporting
- Working closely with investment, risk and sustainability stakeholders
Profile
This role would suit a technically-minded banking professional who understands financial data and enjoys solving complex data challenges. We're seeking someone early in their career with the drive to grow, strong analytical skills and the confidence to engage with business stakeholders.
