Essential Job Functions
•
Performs plating work utilizing appropriate equipment and solutions as defined by the SIFCO Process.
•
Adheres to all specifications as detailed on customer purchase orders.
•
Assists Contract Service Manager in preparing accurate costs for the Quoting process.
•
Works with Inside Sales to help resolve customer technical questions.
•
Designs and makes tooling and fixtures to facilitate efficient and effective plating.
•
Maintains equipment in working order, identifies items needing maintenance and repair.
•
Maintains work area to assure safe and clean work environment.
•
Follows all company policies, department procedures and job-specific work instructions.
•
Establishes and maintains positive and professional customer relations when interacting with customer representatives.
•
Travels as required to meet customer delivery expectations.
Essential Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
•
Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
•
Occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions
•
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
•
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.
•
Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit.
