About the job
As a UAV Maintenance & Repair Technician, you make sure every DeltaQuad UAV is reliable, safe, and ready for its next mission.
On a mission
DeltaQuad develops advanced VTOL UAV systems for defense, public safety, and commercial operators worldwide. Demand is growing fast, and so is the number of developments we run in parallel. That is why we are building an organization that can scale with it.
The role
Every DeltaQuad UAV that comes back from the field passes through your hands. You diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair our systems, from airframes and avionics to propulsion and payloads. You replace motors, ESCs, sensors, GPS modules, and other subsystems, and you perform firmware updates, calibrations, and configurations. Only after functional tests and flight-readiness checks do you sign off, ensuring every system meets our quality and safety standards before deployment.
You also keep our service center running smoothly. You manage incoming and outgoing repair cases, keep service records and repair reports accurate, and make sure systems and components are handled, stored, and tracked properly. You look after tools, test equipment, and the workspace, and you support spare parts and inventory management.
Your work goes beyond fixing what is broken. You spot recurring issues, support root cause analysis and failure investigations, and share your findings with Engineering so our products keep improving. You help improve our repair processes and service workflows, support colleagues in Operations, Training, and Customer Support, and prepare systems for demos, training, and deployments.
What you bring
You are a hands-on technician who loves figuring out why something doesn't work and making sure it works again. You combine practical knowledge of UAVs, electronics, and mechanics with a structured, detail-oriented approach. You live within 45 minutes of Amsterdam, as this role is fully on-site. You also bring:
- Hands-on experience with UAV systems, electronics, and mechanical repair
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with tools, soldering, and electronic components
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Nice to have
Experience with fixed-wing or VTOL UAV systems, a background in avionics, electronics, or aerospace engineering, or experience in a service or repair environment. Familiarity with flight controllers and UAV software, such as PX4 or ArduPilot, and with quality control or testing procedures is a plus.
What success looks like
Repaired systems leave the service center flight-ready, on time, and fully documented. Recurring issues reach Engineering early, and our customers can rely on their UAVs in the field.
What we offer
- Competitive salary
- A key role in scaling our engineering organization, with real ownership of your portfolio
- Work on advanced UAV technology with real-world applications
- 27 vacation days based on full-time employment
- A 38-hour workweek with flexible working hours
- € 0.25/km travel reimbursement or full reimbursement of second-class public transportation
- An excellent pension scheme through PME Pension Fund
- A varied, well-kept lunch at DeltaQuad, monthly team drinks, an open, informal culture where colleagues support each other to reach high standards and production, and where your expertise counts
How to apply
In your application, please let us know whether you currently live in the Netherlands within commuting distance of Amsterdam, or whether you are open to relocating to the Amsterdam area. This role is not remote.
Please note: As part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy.
