Accounting Administrative
Location: Oldenzaal | Employment: 32–40 hours per week
Salary: €2,800 – €3,600 gross per month on a full-time basis, pro rata for part-time employment
About this role.
Do you have a solid background in financial administration and would you like to put your experience to good use in a part-time position? At iAUTOMATION, we are looking for an experienced colleague to support our financial administration for 2–3 days per week.
As an Accounting Administrative, you will be involved in the day-to-day financial processes of our organization. You will ensure that sales invoices are prepared on time, purchase invoices are processed correctly, and payments and outstanding balances are properly monitored.
iAUTOMATION operates in the field of industrial automation, supporting customers across various industries. Since our activities include technical projects, engineering, and service assignments, project administration is an important part of this role. For example, you will verify that working hours, purchase orders, and project information have been correctly recorded before invoices are issued.
You will work independently and have the flexibility to organize your own responsibilities. At the same time, you will regularly communicate with colleagues from sales, engineering, and project management. When information is missing or something does not add up, you take the initiative to investigate and make sure everything is handled correctly.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in financial administration who enjoys working independently in a part-time position. You do not need to be looking for a career path towards management or a financial controller position. What matters most to us is that you enjoy using your financial knowledge and experience to support our organization.
What will you do?
As an Accounting Administrative, you will support the daily financial operations of iAUTOMATION. Your responsibilities are varied and directly connected to our projects, service activities, and business operations.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Sales invoicing: Preparing and processing sales invoices for projects, service activities, and other assignments, ensuring they are accurate and sent on time.
- Purchase administration: Reviewing, registering, and processing incoming invoices, ensuring they match the corresponding purchase orders.
- Payment processing: Processing and verifying payments and ensuring they are correctly recorded in the financial administration.
- Accounts receivable: Monitoring outstanding invoices, identifying overdue payments, and following up on payment-related questions or discrepancies.
- Project administration: Checking that working hours, purchase orders, and project information have been correctly registered before customer invoices are issued.
- Month-end closing: Supporting the preparation of monthly financial closing activities and verifying financial records.
- Process improvement: Identifying opportunities to make administrative processes clearer, more efficient, and better organized.
You will regularly communicate with colleagues from different departments. As we are a relatively small team, communication is direct, and you can quickly resolve questions or obtain missing information.
What does the role offer?
At iAUTOMATION, you will have an independent part-time position within a supportive team of professionals. We offer you the flexibility to organize your responsibilities and work together to find a schedule that suits both you and the organization.
Our employment benefits include
- A gross monthly salary between €2,800 and €3,600 on a full-time basis, depending on your knowledge and experience, calculated pro rata for part-time employment.
- 25 vacation days and 13 additional ADV days per year on a full-time basis, calculated pro rata for part-time employees.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- A pension scheme through Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek (PMT), subject to the applicable participation conditions.
- Employment conditions in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Metal and Technology – Technical Installation Companies (CAO Metaal en Techniek – Technisch Installatiebedrijf).
- Flexible working hours between 08:00 and 18:00, where operational requirements allow.
- A commuting allowance of €0.25 per kilometre, for a maximum one-way commuting distance of 60 kilometres, in accordance with company policy.
- Compensation for applicable overtime and additional business travel time in accordance with company regulations.
- Opportunities for training and professional development, in consultation with the company.
- An independent position with responsibility and room for personal initiative.
- An informal working environment with short communication lines and supportive colleagues.
- Regular team activities and company events.
The exact working days and schedule will be agreed upon together.
What knowledge and experience do we ask for?
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented colleague who feels comfortable working independently in a financial administrative role.
Ideally, you have
- A completed vocational qualification (MBO level) in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through professional experience.
- Previous experience in financial administration, for example as a Financial Administrative Assistant, Accounting Assistant, or Bookkeeping Assistant.
- Experience processing purchase and sales invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Experience with financial administration software and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- A structured, accurate, and independent approach to your work.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in Dutch.
Experience with project administration or working within a technical organization is an advantage, but not a requirement.
We value your practical financial knowledge, ability to maintain an overview, and willingness to communicate with colleagues when necessary.
You are specifically looking for a part-time position of 2–3 days per week, where you can continue using your financial expertise.
