Data Analyst (Power BI)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join us on a temporary external assignment from ASAP to 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Engage with stakeholders to clarify business questions and requirements. Translate requirements into features, user stories, acceptance criteria and analytical designs. Analyse multiple data sources and translate findings into actionable insights. Independently develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models and DAX measures. Perform SQL-based analysis and data exploration. Assess data suitability and implement appropriate validation checks. Conduct structured root-cause analysis of data and reporting issues. Make implementation choices and coordinate delivery. Identify and escalate material risks, dependencies and cross-domain decisions. Manage stakeholder expectations and demonstrate delivered outcomes. Support adoption, knowledge sharing and reusable analytical practices. Review peer work and contribute to solution quality.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL.
• Strong data visualisation and analytical skills.
• Experience translating ambiguous business questions into analytical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of delivery.
• Proactive, structured and collaborative way of working.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Nice to have: Python and/or PySpark.
• Nice to have: Experience with Azure analytics.

Application

Propose to customer

After checking suitability, availability and rate, we will recommend you to the client and you will usually receive a response from the client within 5 working days as to whether they are interested and would like to arrange an interview.

Interview

After the interview, the client may wish to conduct a second or, in some cases, a third interview. If the client decides to hire you, the start date and onboarding process will be determined.

Start / Onboarding

In order to get started, an onboarding procedure is initiated in which formalities are completed. This includes submitting personal details, passport and, if necessary, Chamber of Commerce registration in order to draw up a contract. In some cases, screening by an external agency commissioned by the client may be required. Once this has been completed, the assignment can begin!
