About the job
As a Tier 2 Drone Support Specialist, you are the technical expert for our most complex UAV system questions.
On a mission
DeltaQuad develops long-range electric VTOL drones and delivers high-quality systems worldwide for defense, security, and commercial operations. Our focus lies on reliability, innovation, and ease of use. Our Support department plays a crucial role in that mission: outstanding customer experience, clear communication, and strong technical support are the foundation for long-term customer relationships and for getting the most out of our systems in the field.
The role
When a customer runs into an issue that goes beyond the standard answers, it lands on your desk. You know how drones work beyond the surface, from flight controllers and navigation to hardware, telemetry, and flight behavior. You know what normal operation looks like and where to look when something stands out.
You dive into telemetry and flight logs, reproduce reported issues, test hypotheses, and work toward the root cause. When hardware fails, you diagnose the problem and coordinate repairs or replacements. Along the way, you keep customers informed with clear updates by phone and email, and you document every finding, troubleshooting step, and resolution in our CRM and ticketing systems.
You own your cases, but you never work alone. You manage escalations between T1, T2, and Engineering, and you work closely with Support & Training, R&D, Operations, Sales, and other teams. You also assist existing clients commercially with Sales. You contribute to our knowledge base and FAQs and feed recurring issues and customer feedback back into the organization, so our products and processes keep improving.
What you bring
You are a support specialist who genuinely enjoys figuring things out. You combine solid UAV knowledge with root-cause thinking, and you stay patient and clear with customers, even during longer investigations. You understand support processes and how tickets should move between T1, T2, and Engineering. You also bring:
- At least 4 years of experience in technical support, ideally in a technical or hardware-driven environment
- Solid working knowledge of UAV systems, including flight controllers, GNSS/navigation, autopilots, and VTOL fixed-wing operations
- Hands-on experience diagnosing hardware failures and reading telemetry and flight logs
- Proficiency in logging, tracking, and documenting technical cases in ticketing systems
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
Additional languages and drone certifications are a plus.
What success looks like
Complex cases are solved at the root, not patched at the surface. Customers trust your updates, other teams can follow every case in the system, and recurring issues lead to real improvements in our products and processes.
What we offer
- Competitive salary
- A key role in scaling our engineering organization, with real ownership of your portfolio
- Work on advanced UAV technology with real-world applications
- 27 vacation days based on full-time employment
- A 38-hour workweek with flexible working hours
- € 0.25/km travel reimbursement or full reimbursement of second-class public transportation
- An excellent pension scheme through PME Pension Fund
- A varied, well-kept lunch at DeltaQuad, monthly team drinks, an open, informal culture where colleagues support each other to reach high standards and production, and where your expertise counts
Please note: As part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy.
