Job description

Role Description

• To ensure that Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders are processed in a professional manner and in accordance with Company procedures.
• Where Request for Quote (RFQ)/tenders are obtained from suppliers they shall be evaluated and compared for price and delivery terms.
• To identify possible cost savings within the Procure to Pay (P2P) process.
• To assist the Finance Department on any invoice discrepancies and if required to resolve with vendor.
• Ensure that all relevant documentation associated to the purchase is filed and maintained according

to Company procedures.

• Monitor and analysis purchasing data to make accurate buying decisions.
• Liaise with Technical, Operations and Warehouse personnel to ensure that repairs are forwarded to the appropriate vendor and expedited in a timely manner.
• Advise Rig Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and rig/unit of any potential delays in the provision

of materials and services that could disrupt normal operations.

• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
• Communicate daily with Supply Chain Department, Rig and Operations Department.
• Adhere to and implement where applicable, Company quality, health, and environmental procedures, where applicable.
• Where appropriate, fully support any purchasing needs within the organisation.
• Upon request, participate in the on call rota for Supply Chain.
• Attendance and participation at meetings as required.
• Undertake other duties as defined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

• Hold a relevant degree or HNC/HND qualification or alternatively be qualified by relevant experience.
• Experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Experience of tendering and negotiating skills.
• Computer literate.
• Experience and proficient in ERP systems.
• Understanding of budgeting/cost control.
• Good communication, team work and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Norwegian. Valid for position located in Norway.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Track and record any cost savings/discounts with suppliers.
• Review with Rig Management on open committed cost reports for service Purchase Orders (POs)
• Perform and run expediting POs against assigned rig/unit.
• Feedback from Rig and Operations Department on the service provided by the Rig Buyer.
