WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Business Consultant at AssetCare, you are part of the self-managing Business Consulting Team, in which you and your direct colleagues divide the projects among yourselves and determine the approach. You are the driving force behind new funds and complex migration projects. The Business Consultant acts as project leader and substantive sparring partner: you translate the wishes of fund managers into concrete, actionable plans and guide the entire set-up and implementation – from structuring advice and operational set-up to go-live on the AssetCare platform.

The team works alongside four strategic pillars

Setup → Setting up new fund structures, always in close collaboration with legal partners.

Migration → Guiding existing funds through the transition to the AssetCare platform.

Product Growth → Continuously improving the AssetCare platform based on client and market insights, turned into concrete product improvements.

Sales → Driving sustainable revenue growth by attracting new clients and expanding existing relationships.

Main responsibilities are

Setup & Migration

• Advise fund managers on fund structures, operational choices and onboarding to the AssetCare platform.
• Coordinate fund documentation, including the information memorandum/prospectus (with a legal partner) and the Key Information Document (KID) through our own software.
• Act as the central project manager, owning scope, planning and progress across the client, legal partners, operations and engineering.
• Manage relationships with legal partners, banks, brokers, custodians and other stakeholders during implementations.

Product Growth

• Drive new platform features by spotting opportunities in practice, shaping the functional design and guiding delivery with Data & Engineering and Fund Accounting.
• Turn recurring client pain points and requests into concrete improvement proposals.
• Shape the product roadmap and its priorities by sharing market and client insights.

Sales

• Support complex sales processes from first exploration and proposal through to contract, together with the team.
• Contribute to commercial strategy, including positioning, propositions and how AssetCare stands out in the market.
• Build and maintain a strong network of fund managers, advisors and other market players.

HOW DO YOU FIT IN THE TEAM?

As a Business Consultant, you work at the intersection of investment funds, technology and operations, contributing to scalable solutions that support the further growth of AssetCare. This calls for a role in which in-depth knowledge of investment funds, strong project management and a feel for product development come together. The position evolves along with the growth of the organisation.

Other relevant qualifications for this profile

• A completed university degree (WO), preferably in finance, economics or law, and an interest in and knowledge of the financial and/or investment world.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a consultancy, project management or client-facing role, preferably within financial services, fund services or fintech.
• You have a sharp instinct for leading multidisciplinary projects: you safeguard scope and planning, switch quickly between different lines and keep an overview.
• You have an affinity with product development and feel at home in a product-led environment: you understand how software is built, think along on functionality and bridge the gap between user practice and technical realisation.
• You have strong analytical skills to quickly grasp complex legal, financial and operational issues, and you are a solid sparring partner who knows how to connect and convince a wide range of stakeholders, from fund manager to engineer.
• You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with pragmatism and a results-oriented approach, and you speak fluent Dutch and English.
