The Opportunity

As an Associate at Egon Zehnder, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with our Consultants and Partners in delivering exceptional service and results to clients. You will engage in various aspects of executive search and advisory projects, contributing to the identification and assessment of top executive talent across multiple industries and developing your skills in market and candidate outreach. Your analytical skills and proactive approach will enable you to manage complex client engagements, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about senior talent acquisition and development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Search Execution: Collaborate with Consultants/Partners to execute complex C-suite executive and board search assignments for clients with an emphasis on candidate research, candidate pool development and outreach.
Project Management: Manage multiple client engagements efficiently, demonstrating strong project management skills to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client needs. Ensure relevant information is captured in our database and prepare client update reports.
Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive business, industry, and candidate research utilizing internal databases and external resources. Provide insightful market/candidate analysis and search strategies to present the best candidates to our clients for any given assignment.
Business Development: Collaborate with Consultants to prepare high-quality marketing presentations and calibration profiles. Engage in business development activities to cultivate key accounts and identify new opportunities.
Knowledge Management and Technology: Contribute to the Firm’s knowledge management initiatives by sharing best practices, developing industry expertise, and recording relevant information to enhance internal resources. Master and proactively engage with AI and technology as an enabler. Use all relevant internal and external resources, applications, and tools for leveraging own time and focus on high-value add work.
Relationship Building and Mentorship: Foster effective relationships with team members across multiple offices and geographies, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Apprentice and mentor junior colleagues, when appropriate, throughout onboarding and their professional career progression.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
5-10+ years of work experience in professional services (executive search, consulting, agency etc.), corporate talent acquisition/management, investment research, market research, or business-oriented research.
Demonstrated experience in tackling complex problems with a strategic and analytical approach.
Ability to persistently pursue solutions and navigate obstacles, ensuring that challenges are addressed thoroughly and effectively.
A proactive mindset that embraces challenges and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion, regardless of difficulties encountered.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling presentations and reports tailored to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and experience with CRM or database systems for effective data management.
Demonstrated experience in engaging and communicating effectively with senior executives.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with leveraging technologies, including GenAI and other digital tools, to enhance processes. Ability to utilize technology as an enabler to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive innovative solutions.
Experience in/strong familiarity with of one of the following industries: Consumer, Financial Services, Industrial, Technology/Communications, Services.
