You'll join our Sustainability Practice, working with colleagues across industries, capabilities, and technical teams to help clients address some of their most important sustainability challenges. Our team supports client-facing partners and case teams by developing intellectual property, building innovative solutions, strengthening our expertise, and advancing opportunities for client impact. You'll collaborate with sustainability experts, consultants, and digital specialists to develop practical solutions that connect sustainability ambitions with measurable business outcomes.

Sustainability is an increasingly important priority for our clients, spanning environmental, social, and economic challenges. Our Sustainability Practice helps organizations integrate sustainability into their core business strategies, operations, and growth opportunities.

As a Sustainability Practice Consultant, you'll play a critical role in developing innovative solutions, supporting client teams, and advancing our sustainability capabilities.

You'll combine analytical thinking, business strategy, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to help translate complex sustainability challenges into practical, scalable solutions. Working closely with colleagues across our global practice, you'll contribute to developing intellectual property, piloting AI-enabled tools, strengthening our market differentiation, and helping client teams deliver meaningful results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Solution Development and Innovation

• Manage and maintain our Sustainability Practice's intellectual property and solution development backlog, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Research market trends, competitor offerings, emerging technologies, and potential ecosystem partners to inform solution development.
• Develop intellectual property, including global reports, research briefs, market overviews, and industry-specific materials.
• Structure complex business problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analysis, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support business case development and investment decisions for new sustainability solutions.
• Contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives and transformation projects, helping clients achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Design and prototype AI-enabled tools and minimum viable products (MVPs), collaborating with technical specialists and engineering teams to translate sustainability concepts into practical applications.
• Support client teams in adopting digital and AI solutions to improve delivery efficiency and impact.
• Develop training materials and share knowledge on emerging sustainability capabilities, digital tools, and AI applications.
• Identify opportunities to scale successful solutions through automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.

Practice Strategy and Commercial Development

• Support the development and execution of our Sustainability Practice's strategic priorities.
• Analyze feedback from client proposals and pitches to identify opportunities to strengthen our offerings and competitive positioning.
• Develop business cases, return-on-investment analyses, and commercialization plans for new intellectual property and solutions.
• Contribute to sustainability diagnostic tools, frameworks, and client-facing proposals.
• Maintain and analyze information on practice expertise, commercial materials, and solution performance.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

• Collaborate across practices, functions, and technical teams to develop integrated solutions.
• Connect sustainability expertise with digital and technical capabilities, ensuring solutions support business objectives and sustainability impact.
• Track the performance of pilot solutions, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement and broader adoption.
• Share emerging technology insights and practical applications with colleagues across the practice.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration.
• Support the development and informal coaching of junior team members.

ABOUT YOU

Education and Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in top-tier management consulting or equivalent experience in areas such as product management or strategy within a technology firm, with an undergraduate degree; or 4–5 years of relevant experience with an MBA or master's degree.
• Experience or strong interest in sustainability, including the application of AI and digital technologies to sustainability solutions.
• Experience developing analytical insights, solving complex business problems, and translating findings into practical recommendations.

Skills and Capabilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage workstreams from initial problem definition through to recommendations and delivery.
• Ability to conduct complex analyses, communicate insights clearly, and develop compelling presentations for stakeholders.
• Confidence facilitating small meetings and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting, coaching, or developing junior colleagues.
• Strong interest in sustainability and emerging technologies that help organizations accelerate growth and improve business outcomes.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies, including their practical business applications.
• Experience using AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Grok.
• Demonstrated product thinking, including translating user needs and business hypotheses into focused, testable prototypes.
• Ability to design, build, and deploy AI-enabled minimum viable products, including integrating large language models and third-party application programming interfaces (APIs).
• Hands-on experience with modern data and AI tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Replit, v0, Codex, Claude Code, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or large language model workflows.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Interest in digital transformation, disruptive business models, and emerging technology trends.
• Fluency in English.

Additional Experience We Value

• Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, sustainability experts, and other cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in rapidly evolving or ambiguous environments, such as innovation teams or digital incubators.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows, including model training, evaluation, or deployment.
