Profile Senior Petroleum Engineer – Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)

PanTerra is seeking an experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer with a strong background in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) to support an international oil and gas project in the Middle East.

The successful candidate will bring extensive upstream experience and a solid understanding of EOR technologies, reservoir performance and production optimisation. You will contribute specialist petroleum engineering expertise to the evaluation, development and optimisation of EOR opportunities, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of experienced technical professionals.

Candidates with experience across different EOR techniques and a track record of contributing to complex reservoir studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level petroleum engineering expertise in the evaluation and development of EOR opportunities.
• Contribute to EOR screening, technical assessments and the selection of appropriate recovery methods for different reservoir conditions.
• Evaluate reservoir performance and identify opportunities to improve recovery factors and optimise production.
• Support the technical assessment and development of EOR strategies, including their potential application at field level.
• Analyse reservoir and production data to assess the effectiveness of recovery methods and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to reservoir studies, production forecasts and technical evaluations.
• Work closely with reservoir engineers, geoscientists and other specialists to develop integrated technical solutions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, engineering studies and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contribute to sound engineering decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Substantial experience in petroleum engineering, with relevant hands-on exposure to Enhanced Oil Recovery.
• Good understanding of EOR methods and their application to different reservoir types and production challenges.
• Experience in reservoir performance evaluation, production optimisation and recovery strategy development.
• Familiarity with industry-standard petroleum engineering and reservoir evaluation software.
• Ability to interpret technical data, assess engineering options and develop practical recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and international project environments.
