Take a key role in a fast-moving high tech environment. As Business Controller, you combine financial analysis with strategic advice and work closely with management, operations, sales and R&D.

About

the role

As Business Controller, you are responsible for providing both financial insight and practical business advice to the management team.

You monitor financial and operational performance, prepare budgets and forecasts, and develop business cases to support strategic decision-making. You will also analyse production costs, margins and investment projects, identifying both risks and opportunities within the business unit.

A key part of your role is translating complex financial data into clear management information and actionable recommendations. You will work closely with departments such as Operations, Sales and R&D and contribute to international projects supporting further business growth.

Your responsibilities include

• Advising business unit management on financial and operational performance
• Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and business cases
• Analysing production costs, margins and investment projects
• Translating financial data into clear management information and strategic advice
• Improving business and reporting processes
• Identifying financial and operational risks and opportunities
• Working closely with Operations, Sales and R&D
• Participating in international projects that support business growth

What are we

looking for

We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who understands the business behind the numbers.

• Master’s degree, preferably in Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance & Control or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of experience as a Business Controller
• Preferably experience within an industrial, technical or manufacturing environment
• Strong affinity with technology and/or the high tech industry
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Experience with BI tools
• Ability to translate financial information into concrete business recommendations
• Good command of both Dutch and English
