Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you join our Expansion team: a team of market experts and technical specialists in computer vision, data engineering, and data science. Together, you develop and validate entirely new concepts that could complement our existing portfolio of solutions.

That means building something that works, testing it in practice, learning from what works and what does not, and using those insights to guide further development. The team’s approach centers on testing assumptions early, learning quickly, and adjusting along the way.

Compensation. Matching your knowledge and experience. The range for this role is € 4000 - € 5500 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours).

Required skills

You are a Data Engineer who enjoys building things and taking ownership of more than one part of the data pipeline. You feel at home in an environment where you can experiment and not everything is defined yet. You enjoy working with others to discover what works.

You look beyond the code: you want to understand the problem you are solving, make thoughtful technical choices, and collaborate with other engineers to improve ideas. You are curious about what technology can make possible, enjoy experimenting, and learn quickly from both successful and unsuccessful approaches.

Must haves

• Data Engineering: You have experience with or a solid foundation in data engineering and are enthusiastic about everything related to data. You find it interesting to collect, process, and make data available, and you have strong Python skills for building data and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with embedded systems or resource-constrained environments.
• Cloud: You are familiar with cloud services (e.g. Blob Storage, Event Hubs, AKS, ACR).

Nice to have

• Containerization: You have experience with Docker and deploying containerized applications
• Knowledge of video data and processing tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and/or edge inference.

Good to know: You are available for 32-38 hours. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap and together with your team you will arrange your own working hours for a good work-life balance. You are preferably present at our campus in Groenlo at least twice a week.
