About the job

Why this role matters

Are you a people-focused leader who knows how to keep an operation running smoothly? As Team Leader at our Eindhoven site, you will lead a team within a complex logistics operation for a customer in the medical technology sector. You will create structure, support your team and make sure daily targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Depending on the process and workload, you will be indirectly responsible for a team of approximately 120 employees. You will work closely with Coordinators and other Team Leaders, divide the daily workload and adjust priorities when volumes or circumstances change. You will also help employees develop by providing clear direction, regular feedback and coaching.

This is a full-time, site-based role in a two-shift system from Monday to Friday. You will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

What's in it for you

  • A responsible leadership role in a dynamic and quality-focused logistics operation.
  • The opportunity to develop employees and help Coordinators grow in their roles.
  • A position in which your decisions have a direct impact on safety, quality, productivity and customer service.
  • Training, coaching and opportunities for personal and professional development within GXO.
  • A dynamic and international workplace where initiative, collaboration and ownership are valued.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead, coach and develop employees and Coordinators, creating a safe, engaged and high-performing team.
  • Plan the daily workload and allocate employees across the relevant operational processes.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, quality and other KPIs, and take corrective action when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Provide clear instructions and ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct individual meetings, performance discussions and return-to-work conversations.
  • Address performance or behavioral concerns clearly and professionally, and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Support Coordinators in their daily responsibilities and help them develop their leadership capabilities.
  • Adjust staffing and priorities when volumes, capacity or operational circumstances change.
  • Work closely with other Team Leaders, the Warehouse Manager and support departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Ensure that work instructions and process documentation are up to date, understood and followed.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to safer, more efficient and more reliable processes.
  • Support employees during operational changes and help build understanding and commitment within the team.

What you'll bring to GXO

  • Experience in a coordinating or leadership role within logistics, production, retail, hospitality or another operational environment.
  • The ability to lead different types of employees, provide clear direction and adapt your approach when required.
  • A people-focused leadership style, combined with the confidence to make decisions and address difficult situations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct constructive performance and development conversations.
  • A structured approach and the ability to maintain overview in a dynamic operation with changing priorities.
  • A proactive, flexible and hands-on mindset, while enabling employees and Coordinators to take responsibility for their own work.
  • Openness to feedback and a genuine interest in personal development.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel; experience with WMS functionality is an advantage.
  • Experience in a regulated, quality-focused or medical technology environment is helpful, but not required.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday in a two-shift system.
