If you’re fluent in JavaScript and comfortable working server-side, this role offers the opportunity to build high-performance systems that power real-world platforms. We typically look for candidates with a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience, and a strong track record delivering backend services in Node.js.
What you could do with us
- Develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js and modern frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Koa.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and real-time communication features with technologies like WebSockets or Socket.io.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver complete and functional solutions.
- Handle asynchronous data processing and concurrent request handling with efficiency and precision.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning across various environments.
- Integrate Node.js applications with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve product quality and development workflow.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team?s shared knowledge base and code reviews.
What we look for
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in backend development using Node.js in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Experience with popular Node.js frameworks (Express, NestJS, Koa) and libraries (Socket.io, JWT, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and building scalable distributed systems.
- Proficiency with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- Understanding of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Comfortable working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
