SAP Basis (BC) Consultant

Location: Switzerland, Geneva.

Languages: Fluent French and professional English

Position: SAP Basis / Technical Infrastructure Consultant

About the Role

Our client, a leading SAP consultancy, is looking for an experienced SAP Basis (BC) Consultant to support Swiss and international customers across SAP implementation, migration and transformation projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, optimisation and technical support of SAP landscapes, including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. You will contribute to system upgrades, migrations, cloud-based deployments and international rollouts, working closely with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure the stability, performance and reliability of business-critical systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SAP Basis professional looking to develop their expertise across modern SAP landscapes and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support SAP landscapes across ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain SAP systems.
• Support SAP system migrations, technical conversions and transformation programmes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement optimisation measures.
• Manage SAP transports, system refreshes and client copies.
• Perform SAP system patching, upgrades and routine technical housekeeping.
• Support SAP user administration and authorisation-related activities.
• Assist with backup, recovery and system availability procedures.
• Provide technical support throughout SAP implementations and deployment projects.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, infrastructure teams and other SAP specialists.
• Contribute to international SAP rollouts and customer-facing consulting engagements.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven professional experience in SAP Basis / SAP BC administration.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Experience with SAP system installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of SAP upgrades, patches and migrations.
• Experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
• Knowledge of SAP user administration and authorisations.
• Experience in system monitoring, performance optimisation and technical troubleshooting.
• Understanding of SAP backup, recovery and system maintenance procedures.
• Fluent French and good professional English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and technical teams.

Desirable Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

• SAP S/4HANA technical administration.
• SAP HANA database administration.
• SAP Fiori configuration and administration.
• SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
• SAP Security and authorisation concepts.
• SAP Private Cloud or Public Cloud environments.
• RISE with SAP.
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Cloud infrastructure, including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Automation, scripting or DevOps tooling.
• International SAP deployments and transformation programmes.
