We are seeking an experienced Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to provide technical leadership across high-voltage operations, commissioning activities, electrical safety management, and network integrity for a project in Poland.

Job description

The Lead SAP will be responsible for the management and coordination of high-voltage activities across both onshore and offshore electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead authority for MV/HV/LV electrical operations and commissioning activities.
• Manage and coordinate teams of SAPs, Transmission Specialists, and Operators.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and applicable legislation.
• Review and approve RAMS, method statements, and HV work scopes.
• Lead the planning and coordination of switching activities and network outages.
• Oversee HV system integration and commissioning activities.
• Provide operational guidance on:• Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs)
• Offshore substations
• Onshore substations
• Export and inter-array cable systems
• Review and update switching schedules and electrical schematics.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections, audits, and site assessments.
• Coordinate commissioning activities through all project stages.
• Support authorisation, assessment, and mentoring of HV personnel.
• Develop and improve site-specific HV operational procedures and instructions.
• Manage permit office activities and electrical safety documentation.
• Coordinate with grid operators and attend commissioning and operational meetings.

Essential

• Extensive experience in high-voltage operations and commissioning.
• Previous experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV/LV systems and electrical safety management.
• Relevant electrical qualifications appropriate to SAP authorisation.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with onshore substation systems.
• Experience preparing and reviewing switching schedules and isolations.
• Experience managing electrical commissioning and energisation activities.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, network operations, and outage management.

Certifications

• Current GWO certification suite.
• HUET certification.
• CA-EBS (where required by site).
• Valid offshore medical certification.

Desirable

• Offshore wind experience.
• Experience with grid connection commissioning.
• Experience mentoring and authorising HV personnel.
• Experience working on offshore substations, export cables, and transmission systems.
• Familiarity with control room operations and network control activities.
