About the job
Ryberg builds Omnia, an autonomous UV-C disinfection robot already operating in hospitals. Our navigation software runs on ROS 1, and we are looking for an experienced freelancer to deliver the migration to ROS 2. The role is partly remote, partly on-site in the Netherlands.
Scope: migrate a modular ROS 1 codebase (C++/Python) to a ROS 2 LTS release; move navigation, localization and mapping to Nav2; port and validate hardware drivers and app/control integrations; update Docker deployment and tests/CI; phased, well-documented rollout.
You bring: hands-on ROS 2 experience (ideally previous migrations); strong C++ and Python; Nav2, SLAM, tf2 and lifecycle nodes on real mobile robots; Docker, Linux, CI. Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
From Ryberg B.V.'s own posting, which is always the source of truth. Apply there.
