About the Role

For our strategically vital location in the greater Frankfurt am Main area, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced leader as Branch Manager (all). In this key position, you will hold overall responsibility for the operational business and growth of our logistics activities across International Forwarding (Air) and Contract Logistics (including the management of two dedicated warehouse facilities with over 11.600 m2).

You will report directly to the German Executive Board and actively shape the future of the branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall Leadership & Strategy: Operational and commercial management of the Frankfurt branch (P&L responsibility, budget planning, cost and revenue optimization).
• Site & Warehouse Operations: Disciplinary and functional leadership of the Air Operation & Customer Service teams as well as the two associated contract logistics warehouse sites.
• Process Optimization: Continuous enhancement and standardization of operational workflows in warehouse and transport logistics using modern WMS/TMS systems.
• Business Development: Active support of the sales team in acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and expanding existing customer relationships in the Rhine-Main region.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all legal, customs, and security standards (e.g., AEO, IATA, Known Consignor, occupational safety).
• Team Development: Fostering a high-performance culture, motivating employees, and driving targeted staff development.

Your Profile

• Education & Experience: Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a comparable vocational qualification (e.g., Freight Forwarding and Logistics Specialist) with several years of leadership experience in a similar role.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Air and Sea freight as well as a proven track record in managing contract logistics projects and warehouse facilities.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Strong commercial acumen and a goal-oriented, sales-driven approach.
• Leadership Skills: Empathic yet assertive leadership style with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Language Skills: Business fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Regional Network: Sound knowledge of the logistics market in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region is an advantage.
