Job description
- Organising and supervising the Roughnecks.
- Preparing equipment for routine operations on the rig floor.
- Assisting the Derrickman.
- Maintaining the equipment on the rig floor to a safe standard.
- Assisting in pre-use checks.
- Performing maintenance of drilling equipment.
- Routine mud sampling, viscosity checks and mixing chemicals with the Mud engineer.
- Cleaning mud tanks.
- Signalling the Crane Operator in bringing equipment to and from the rig floor in a safe and effective manner.
