Are you an IT Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and wants to develop your skills in Linux, Microsoft Azure and automation? At bGrid, you will work across internal IT and cloud infrastructure in a fast-growing smart building technology company.

We are looking for a Medior IT Operations Engineer with solid IT fundamentals, a hands-on mindset and the curiosity to keep learning.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology we use. We will help you develop your skills in areas such as Azure, Linux, Ansible, Docker and Azure DevOps.

What will you do?

As our IT Operations Engineer, you help keep our IT environment and platform infrastructure secure, reliable and running smoothly.

You will

• Keep our infrastructure healthy: monitor systems and services, troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed.
• Support IT operations: manage users and access rights, provision laptops and servers, and support secure day-to-day IT.
• Work with Microsoft Azure: provision and manage cloud resources and help keep our Azure environment organized.
• Work with Linux: use the command line for system administration and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot end to end: investigate network, service and permission issues using logs and standard tools.
• Support automation: run and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks and Azure DevOps pipelines and help improve them over time.

What do you bring?

We are looking for someone at medior level with a good foundation in IT infrastructure and the ambition to develop further in cloud operations and automation.

You bring

• Knowledge of IT operations, system administration or IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with the Linux command line.
• Basic knowledge of networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience with or an interest in Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with day-to-day IT administration, such as user and access management.
• A structured, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to take ownership.
• Experience with Ansible, Azure DevOps, Docker, Elasticsearch or monitoring tools is a plus, but not a requirement.

Most importantly, you are curious, eager to learn and comfortable figuring things out. You are also open to occasional travel to our projects across Europe.
