Field Service Engineer
Location: Oldenzaal | Employment: 32–40 hours per week
Salary: €3,200–€4,500 gross per month on a full-time basis, excluding holiday allowance
About this role.
Do you enjoy technical work at customer sites and finding practical solutions to problems? As a Field Service Engineer at iAUTOMATION, you will help install, maintain, troubleshoot and commission industrial machinery and automation systems. You will see first-hand how installations operate in production environments.
Our customers are active in sectors including pharmaceuticals, energy, chemicals, and food and beverage. One day you may support a commissioning project or scheduled maintenance visit; the next you may investigate a fault or implement a technical modification.
You will prepare work carefully, review technical documentation and coordinate with operators, maintenance departments and our engineers on site. If a problem is more complex, you can call on colleagues specializing in PLC software, electrical engineering and industrial automation. You will record the work completed and advise on improvements where relevant.
This position involves regular travel within the Netherlands and occasional international trips. We are looking for someone who works independently, treats customers professionally and enjoys solving technical challenges as part of a team.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include
- Installation, testing and commissioning: Check machinery and automation systems and support their transition into operational use.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance and respond to technical problems to maintain reliability.
- Electrical, mechanical and control troubleshooting: Systematically trace faults to components, wiring, settings or control systems.
- Inspections, calibration and safety checks: Assess equipment condition and record relevant findings.
- Customer instructions: Explain work performed and answer practical questions from operators or maintenance personnel.

- 8% holiday allowance, paid in June.
