Job description

About the Role

We are partnering with a global leader in energy technology, delivering solutions across wind, power and energy infrastructure.

As Site Manager, you will take the lead on delivering world-class wind farm projects. You will lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams operating in dynamic, remote environments, bringing together technical, financial, and construction resources to execute with precision and purpose. Working closely with a core team of discipline leaders, you will integrate installation and construction deliverables with wind turbine design, sourcing, and delivery schedules, ensuring every phase of the project runs seamlessly from mobilisation through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & EHS Leadership

  • Serve as the primary champion of EHS culture across all site activities, from project planning and development through to delivery
  • Ensure all EHS and quality processes are implemented and strictly enforced at all times
  • Empower every team member to report unsafe practices and take the necessary actions to prevent accidents and incidents before they occur

Site & Project Delivery

  • Act as the first line of communication
  • Lead site construction and commissioning activities to deliver the project in line with the schedule and budget
  • Manage all subcontractors and partners in accordance with contract requirement
  • Manage interfaces between contractors on site, including foundation handover acceptance, hardstand areas, and energisation of collector groups
  • Verify that all site construction and commissioning personnel hold current and appropriate training documentation
  • Report site performance and productivity in accordance with the Site Manager Handbook
  • Monitor the project against commercial parameters and proactively identify and escalate potential risks to profitability, cash flow, and programme

People & Team Leadership

  • Direct and guide direct reports and peer-level discipline leaders to mobilise the right people at the right time
  • Motivate, support, and develop the site team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture in a remote environment
  • Coordinate and integrate the activities of internal functions including finance, engineering, product quality, and project teams, as well as external parties including contractors, subcontractors, and the client

Continuous Improvement & Project Closeout

  • Participate in contract and subcontract performance management across transportation, cranage, installation, and commissioning crews
  • Support project closeout and handover to Operations & Maintenance

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as wind energy, large-scale construction, or infrastructure delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently at a high level across all areas of responsibility in complex, high-pressure environments
