Do you want to work on complex electrical installations, directly on board ships?If you know how to read electrical diagrams and execution plans, are passionate about the electrical field, and enjoy real technical challenges, we might be a good match. At Alewijnse, we're looking for a Service Technician who puts quality first.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Technician at Alewijnse, you’ll handle complex maintenance and repair work for vessels already in operation – either under warranty or as part of requested service interventions.

You’ll travel to shipyards or ports across Europe and beyond, working directly on board to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues. Your tasks may include dismantling faulty installations, replacing cable routes or equipment, and putting systems safely back into operation.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the project, always with a high sense of responsibility, precision, and adaptability. You might also be involved in post-delivery support for vessels you’ve previously worked on – a great opportunity to apply your system knowledge in the field.

We’re looking for someone who

• has completed technical secondary education (vocational school or technical high school);
• knows how to manage their time and prioritize tasks;
• is motivated to grow continuously, regardless of their current experience level;
• has intermediate to advanced English skills (written and spoken);
• makes decisions with responsibility and takes ownership in the team;
• is available for travel abroad;
• has a proactive and solution-oriented attitude;
• is quality-focused, consistent, and results-driven;
• has at least 3 years of experience in the electrical or electrotechnical field.
